Tibetan Book of the Dead (Full text). “Great Liberation as a result of what was heard in the bardo”
The original title of the book: “Great Liberation as a result of what was heard in the bardo.” “As a result of what was heard” – because we are talking about the auditory perception of the text. “Bardo” is translated from Tibetan as “intermediate state.” The original talks about the “liberation” of a dying person, that is, about his reaching a state that excludes reincarnation. Northern Buddhism (Lamaism) teaches that this can be achieved in one life.
Analysis of Ancient Egyptian Myths
Ancient Egyptian mythology is not as widely popular as the mythology of Ancient Greece, primarily because the worldview of the ancient Greeks is incomparably closer to us. Hellenic ideas about beauty, justice, the ideal state structure, the hierarchy of moral and ethical values and, most importantly, the artistic understanding and expression of all these categories largely coincide with certain analogues from our time or from eras relatively close to us in time. Therefore, the ideological and semantic subtext of the Greek myth is easily understood (to a first approximation) by an unprepared reader.
History of the development of Buddhism in Russia
Buddhism is the oldest world religion, named after its founder Buddha Shakyamuni. Buddhists themselves count the time of its existence from the moment of the death of the Buddha, but opinions about the years of his life differ. According to the schools of Southern Buddhism, he lived from 624 to 544. BC e. — thus, Buddhism is older than Christianity by five, and Islam by twelve centuries. This religion is called world because it is not tied to any one people and easily overcomes national and state borders. Anyone can profess it, regardless of race, nationality, gender and age: the main thing is that a person strives to work with his own consciousness.
